Description

Hydrocal® B-11® Cement is a high-performance gypsum-based adhesive designed for use with FOAMGLAS® insulation in high-temperature applications. This noncombustible, inorganic cement forms a durable bond for shaping, filling, and coating FOAMGLAS® insulation for reliable thermal protection. It is typically applied in environments above 93°C (200°F) and for other specialized uses where secure, stable insulation bonding is required.

  • Application Temperature Range: 21 ± 17°C (70 ± 30°F)
  • Service Temperature:
    • Maximum: 482°C (900°F)
    • Minimum: -268°C (-450°F)
  • Setting Time: 18-30 minutes at 25°C (77°F), depending on batch size, temperature, and mix ratio
  • Bulk Density: 1.46 g/cm³ ± 15% (91 lb/ft³ ± 15%)
  • Electrochemical Properties (pH): Alkaline
  • Combustibility: Noncombustible, wet or dry
