FOAMGLAS® Insulation Spherical Head Segments (SHS) are prefabricated cellular glass insulation segments specifically designed to insulate spherical and domed surfaces, such as tank heads and vessel ends, in industrial applications. Made from rigid, closed-cell cellular glass, FOAMGLAS® SHS segments provide exceptional moisture resistance, thermal insulation, and durability, ensuring reliable performance in extreme temperature conditions, including cryogenic and high-temperature systems.

  • Material Composition: Inorganic, rigid cellular glass insulation
  • Thermal Conductivity: Consistent thermal performance across a broad temperature range, suitable for extreme conditions
  • Water Vapor Permeability: 0.00 perm-inch, fully impermeable to water and vapor (ASTM E96)
  • Service Temperature Range: -450°F (-268°C) to 900°F (482°C), ideal for both low and high temperatures
  • Fire Performance: Noncombustible, with Flame Spread Index 0, Smoke Developed Index 0 (UL 723, ASTM E84)
