It is suitable for ambient and below-ambient service pipelines, as well as commercial chilled water systems. This jacketing is not intended for below-ground or indoor use.

Description

PITTWRAP® IW30 Jacketing is a 0.76 mm (30 mil) thick, self-sealing, non-metallic sheet designed to protect above-ground FOAMGLAS® insulation used in chilled water and hot service applications under a metal jacket. It is suitable for ambient and below-ambient service pipelines, as well as commercial chilled water systems. This jacketing is not intended for below-ground or indoor use.

Specifications

  • Composition: Polymer-modified bituminous membrane reinforced with a 4 mil (0.1 mm) high-density, cross-laminated polyethylene top film and release film backing.
  • Thickness: 0.76 mm (30 mil)
  • Service Temperature Limits: -25°F to 100°F (-32°C to 38°C)
  • Application Temperature: Minimum 50°F (10°C); with primer, minimum 20°F (-7°C)
  • Permeance: 0.017 perms (ASTM E96 Procedure A)
  • Tensile Strength: 25 lbf/in. (43 N/cm) (ASTM D882)
  • Elongation: 200% minimum (ASTM D882)
  • Puncture Resistance: 60 lbf (267 N) (ASTM E154)
  • Lap Adhesion: 10.0 lbf/in. (18 N/cm) (ASTM D882)
  • Weight: Approximately 0.93 kg/m² (0.19 lb/ft²)
