FOAMGLAS® Conical Equipment Segments (CSG) are prefabricated cellular glass insulation components designed for insulating the conical ends of vessels and other specialized transition parts in industrial and commercial applications. Made from cellular glass, these segments provide consistent thermal insulation, moisture resistance, and exceptional durability, making them ideal for demanding environments, including cryogenic and high-temperature applications.

  • Material Composition: Inorganic, rigid cellular glass
  • Thermal Conductivity: Provides excellent insulation across a wide temperature range, maintaining stable thermal properties even in extreme conditions
  • Water Vapor Permeability: 0.00 perm-inch, completely impermeable to moisture (ASTM E96)
  • Service Temperature Range: Suitable for cryogenic and high-temperature applications, from -450°F (-268°C) to 900°F (482°C)
  • Fire Performance: Noncombustible, Flame Spread Index 0, Smoke Developed Index 0 (UL 723, ASTM E84)
  • Density: Approximately 120-130 kg/m³ (7.5-8.1 lb/ft³) depending on the application requirements
